A Bit of History

Built in 1650, The Wheatsheaf has been a staple of Bramley village for centuries, welcoming locals, travellers, and anyone in search of good company and a great drink. While the world outside has changed a lot, our warm hospitality and relaxed atmosphere remain the same.

What Makes Us Special?

We’re more than just a pub – we’re a place to unwind, catch up, and make memories. Whether you're sinking a pint by the open fire, playing a game of pool or darts, or enjoying live music nights, there's always something going on.

Out the back, you’ll find a spacious beer garden with plenty of seating and a children’s play area, making it the perfect spot for families, friends, and four-legged visitors too – yes, we’re dog-friendly!

A Cosy Stay in the Heart of Surrey

Looking for a place to rest your head? Our comfortable, no-frills guestrooms are tucked away in a separate annexe next to the pub, offering a peaceful and relaxed stay. Each room comes with:

  • Ensuite bathrooms
  • TVs for a chilled evening in
  • Tea & coffee making facilities
  • Free Wi-Fi

We’re just a short drive from Guildford town centre (4.5 miles) and the beautiful Winkworth Arboretum (2.7 miles) – perfect for a weekend getaway or a stopover on your travels.
